If I tell you what it is, you may go "WTF?" and not want to see it, as I almost did, but I did go see it and I'm glad I did! So let me just assure you that it is slashy but not porny, funny, sweet, and adorbs. It's basically a vertical comic strip. Go look!

Author: Amedia
Rating: PG
Characters/Ship: Joey-Chandler or Joey/Chandler, depending on how hard you squint
Summary: Chandler really cares about the coffee.
Keywords: fluff, bickering, hurt/comfort
Word count: 767
Author's note: This theme of year's slash pajama party at REVELcon is "hurt/comfort," so I needed a short hurt/comfort piece in a fandom that most people would recognize. I was idly musing and this just popped into my head.
Newsflash! "Your Royal Madjesty" on AO3 - Srishti on tumblr - drew a lovely illustration for this story! You can see it at http://drawthelinestoallconstellations.tumblr.com/post/113868358331/hi-did-you-know-i-ship-chanoey-no-well-now-you

Summary: Cecil tries to protect Carlos from StrexCorp. Things don't go as planned. But then, Station Management didn't give up NVCR without a carefully-written contract.
Word Count: 1660
Author's note: An idea I had that finally crystallized when I heard "Missing." Spoilers for "Yellow Helicopters." It will probably be jossed in an episode or two, but this is my pet theory of how to resolve the StrexCorp problem.

Prompt me!

amedia: (Tin Man - DG slash)
I'm so relieved to be out from under that project! I want to WRITE! At least drabbles. :-)

So give me a prompt and a fandom. I'm in the mood for fluff; gen or slash is fine. Night Vale, Sherlock, Tin Man, Rat Patrol, Barney Miller, any other fandom in which you know I've written. If you're not sure, feel free to ask.
amedia: (preppy fractal)
Notes on BRB--Summoned by Management:

I decided I wanted to write something in the style of an episode, so the story is all dialogue with a few sound effects. There's no narrative. That was tricky! Especially when you're trying to write h/c and you have to put in clues from which the reader can infer what's going on.

One of the stories I rec'd recently (Homebrew by leiascully) included a line about how Old Woman Josie knows what's really going on in Night Vale, she just isn't telling. That immediately became part of my headcanon. :-)

Lulu is short for Lourdes. Small town in the Southwest, there ought to be some more locals with Hispanic names. IMNSHO. :-)

What really happened with Station Management in this fic has a lot to do with my interpretation of the episode "Subway." Spoilers for Subway )

This is desperately sad, but written with quiet brilliance, and ultimately . . . it reaffirms the best in human nature. The Great War and the influenza epidemic do not leave Holmes and Watson untouched: After, Ever After by [livejournal.com profile] rabidsamfan.
amedia: (I Spy)
So I was cruising the Person of Interest fic on AO3 and I ran into something unbelievable that made me . . . I think the word is sporfle . . . hysterically.

Let's just say . . . Mycroft Holmes and Harold Finch are related. As that woman in Help! kept saying to Paul, I can say no more. Mycroft's mother/Finch's aunt is one of my favorite fan-created characters evar. I can say no more. They are mildly pre-slashy, but if you don't like slash I don't think there's enough to bother you. I can say no more.

There are two short pieces published in the series so far. My favorite is the second. So far. Meet the Family.

Author's Note: Many thanks are due to Olivia (a.k.a. the REVELcon BDSM Goddess), whose comments on "Another Lifetime" gave me the idea for this sequel, and who was kind enough to read over a draft of this story, offering helpful details and valuable insights. Any remaining errors are my own.

Author's Note: Response to [livejournal.com profile] derien's request for a Glitch/Wyatt drabble involving winter, blue, or contentment (without necessarily using the actual words). I had them all in mind while writing this, but I think "winter" is the one that mostly came through. (Possibly because the reason I'm at home to write this is a snow day!)
