Y'all probably know that I keep saying I don't like mpreg (male pregnancy) stories, and people keep telling me I just hadn't read the right one. And yeah, I had gotten turned off to them about two fandoms ago by some seriously bad writing, and I hadn't dared to read another one since.

surranndie asked me to beta a Tin Man mpreg story for her, and I lost my mind got very very brave and said yes. And you know what? It's a really good story! Here are some things I liked about it:

surranndie asked me to beta a Tin Man mpreg story for her, and I - She provides a backstory that makes mpreg an ordinary occurrence in this fantasy universe. I didn't mind mpreg as canon in the Alien Nation TV series, and this has a similar feel.
- The main characters stay in-character throughout, and the reactions of the secondary characters are well-thought-out and plausible.
- For a story that is basically serious in plot, it has moments of laugh-out-loud hilarity, and they're my favorite kind: they arise naturally from the interaction of the characters.
