I put in "Amedia" and there were two I especially liked, so I'm posting them both:

This comes from a page in Chinese that appears to be devoted to anime.

This comes from a Brazilian website that appears to be some sort of schedule for comic book discussions.

I'd love to do the "If you call me _________, you are ________" exercise, but I can't possibly do that in any detail and maintain anonymity. The most I can do is, "If you call me Amedia, you are probably someone I met either online or at a convention on the East Coast; the people I know from when I lived in Texas call me by my real name even at slashcons because they knew me before I was a slasher (I didn't use a pseud when I just wrote gen)." Indeed, it took me a while to get used to being addressed as Amedia in person. Now I think it's cool.

I was wondering if that was Belldandy! I've never seen the show - my son has some bootlegs of it - but I've seen a *gorgeous* songvid for it to the tune of "Tonight and the Rest of my Life" - a song I didn't even used to like very much, but now I visualize the anime clips when I hear it on the radio.

Which reminds me, oddly enough, that yesterday we got a lovely note from Dr. Z - late Christmas letter, basically - with an adorable photo of her and her little girl, who is now in college. It reminds me because she's the only person I know who refers to you as Jessie, although there may be plenty others whom I don't know. :-)

Do you have Dr. Z's email? Will you email it to me? I need to write to her, I've not talked to her in ages. It's been far too long. I need to try to talk her into getting an LJ. LOL. See, here's my dirty secret - this is my lazy way of keeping up with people; talking them into getting LJs. :D

My mom calls me Jesse. She's allowed, because she's my mom. Dr. Z. is allowed, too, because she's Dr. Z. Most people, though, when they first get to know me, if they call me that, I'll tell them I prefer just Jess.
