Didn't see this one in the theater because we didn't want to watch it with a bunch of little kids! Really, really enjoyed watching it at home. Loved the references to 2001! Interesting mix of savage satire and hopeful humanism. Loved the dance in outer space! I kept wondering why the musical sequences seemed so familiar; I looked up the movie that Wall-E is always watching and it's "Hello, Dolly!" which I saw and adored many many years ago, so it was just on the edges of my memory. The romance was surprisingly sweet and touching. Hugely enjoyable movie.

Found one mini-Easter Egg at the end of the credits (part of the Pixar animated logo) and found another one through the IMDB; if you click on the BNL logo on the main menu you get a neat little video about the animators called Geek-o-Rama. Couldn't get to it with the DVD player controls; had to put it in the computer and use the mouse, which seems kind of mean to people who don't have computers, or whose computers don't have a DVD drive.

There were also a couple of bonus animated mini-features on the DVD: a self-contained short called Presto, which was very cute, and an extremely cool short called BURN-E that follows a character we only see briefly in the movie, shows how he got to where we glimpse him in the film and what happens to him afterwards as he is affected by the main action of the movie. And it contains another 2001 reference!
