Movies: Eight more from Jaman (TODS only)

When Father Was Away on Business, Pusher, Weirdsville, Black, Pusher 2, Profit Motive and the Whispering Wind, Six Against the Rock, and Surfwise.
TODS usually gets the free movie of the week from Jaman, and if I'm not interested, he goes ahead and watches it himself, often in bits and pieces during football games or whatever. (The TiVo has a half-hour buffer, so it's much more fun to watch something else for a while and then catch up with the sport by watching it from the buffer - you can fast forward through the commercials, the huddles, the replays - it's amazing how little time is actually spent playing the game.)
Just from chatting with him about the films, I think he was most engaged by Black (an Indian movie about an unconventional teacher who reaches a deaf-blind child, kinda like the Miracle Worker, but with its own twists), Profit Motive and the Whispering Wind, which was apparently told mostly through epitaphs (? - I could be wrong), and Six Against the Rock, which was based on an historical escape attempt from Alcatraz. Pusher was a Danish film about horrible things happening to horrible people, and Pusher 2 was a sequel in which more horrible things happen to horrible people.
