I'm not really worried about the siblings - just Mom and Dad. So eventually it occurred to me that the thing to do was call them before they read their email. So I did, and mentioned offhanded that I had accidentally pasted a "story contest" into the first email, so just to look at the second, and then my dad told me a naughty joke, and my mom and I talked about the Prisoner and the Avengers, and it was all good.
