Just finished watching a heartachingly well-done PBS special called "Cities of Light: The Rise and Fall of Islamic Spain." A number of scholars were interviewed, and one of them struck me. Am I obsessed, or does this guy look like Moffitt might have, about ten or fifteen years after the series?
Well, I'd hate to see Moffitt with a receding hairline but there *is* something about the fellow. (I was struck by the *last* photo of the series.) The "tell" would be--does he speak with a similar accent?
I will try to catch the special when it comes around up here. My husband spent a few years in Spain with the Air Force and has tons of slides of the Moorish landmarks.
