Drabble: Splish Splash

Title: Splish Splash
Notes: Response to the tinman100 challenge to find inspiration in the America song "Tin Man"; I'm basing this on the line "Soapsuds green like bubbles." This is meant to be set shortly after the eclipse, presuming Cain's shoulder wound has been taken care of. Originally posted here.


Cain sank into the hot tub with a grateful sigh, feeling his aching muscles finally relax.

Glitch, who had jumped in moments earlier with a cannonball splash, gathered a handful of green bubbles and blew them at Cain.

Cain looked around the elegant marbled bathing room. "You'd think a place like this would have more than one tub. Wonder why DG put us in here together?"

"Because somewhere under all that big-eyed innocence, said Glitch knowingly, "is a conniving fangirl."

"You mean she thinks we're gonna—-hey, what are you doing?"

"Want me to stop?"

"Not on your life, sweetheart."
