Archer and the Xindi? Ow! Ow! Ow! My brain!

You see, there's a line in one of the Aubrey-Maturin novels in which Stephen yells at Jack for turning his pet sloth into a lush. "Jack, you have debauched my sloth!"

When I was watching one of the last few episodes of Enterprise last season, there's a scene where one of the insectoid Xindi leaders is surprised to find the arboreal Xindi delegate supporting Archer's cause. The arboreal Xindi are supposed to be descended from sloths. So when the insectoid Xindi glared at Archer, I figured he was suspicious of Archer's improper influence on the arboreal (sloth) Xindi, hence, "Sir, you have debauched my sloth!"

I mentioned this to cruisedirector, and the next thing I know, ashinae had made me an icon to go with it! Such is life in LJ-land.
