Movie: Prince of Persia (amedia-only)

I saw this at REVELcon; my roommate had brought it along as friendly background noise. Fluffy eye candy; shame about the casting (white actors playing Middle Eastern roles). Very pretty scenery, slightly more interesting plot than I was expecting.

Strongly agree with you on the actors. Middle Eastern dudes are hot, and there are many of them who could have adequately played that role. I am a huge fan of the video games, and I would also have enjoyed more leaping and jumping. :)

That seems to be a common complaint about casting in films of the fantastic; there was a big controversy over a live action film adapted from some anime series a year or so back. And then there was the dreadful A Wizard of Earthsea, though the portrayal of the proud Ged as a whinier Luke Skywalker was an even worse turnoff than all those high-melanin Earthsea people turning white.
