The power is back on! Sometime between when I left the house at 11 a.m. and when we returned at 5:30, the electricity got fixed. The house is cool and the fridge is humming and the cats are playing again. Yay! Yay! Yay!

Say, if by some fluke you haven't seen Serenity yet by the time I get to Texas in a couple of weeks, or if you want to go see it again, may I go see it with you? Of course, you are probably at the movies even as I type this :-)

Yes, you heard me. I am going to Texas. Back to do some work on the condo, which may or may not have an evacuee family to live in it for a while, depending on what happens when I swing through Louisiana on my way to Austin. And I intend to visit you at some point, whether you want me there or not. You really don't have much choice in the matter. Sorry about that.
