All good things must come to an end. Please join us for the final Eclecticon as we know it!

In existence since 1994, Eclecticon is the East Coast's premier media fanzine and fanfiction convention, focusing on fanfiction and the varied fandoms that inspire it. Our host hotel is comfy, cozy, and convenient to all major highways, is easily accessible by public transportation, and features frequent free shuttle service to and from Newark International Airport. Rooms are $79/night for members of the convention, for up to four in a room (suites are available at a higher rate). You must dial the hotel directly to make sure the reservation goes through properly 1-973-824-4000.

Activities begin Friday at noon. Feel like talking? Participate in programming from four tracks of panels or any of our independent discussion groups, seminars, or specialized workshops. Feeling competitive and generous? Bid on our charity auction items. Empty your pockets in our overflowing dealers' rooms, or relax for a while in the video room or the con suite.

If these activities make you work up an appetite, well, our con suite is famous, and with good reason. We provide mass quantities of hot and cold munchies, hot soup, our famous chili dip, and hot and cold soft drinks (and chocolate!) to all members throughout the weekend, all to the accompaniment of the best fan music videos!

The convention charity is North Shore Animal League. We’re also accepting donations of non-perishable food as well as personal items for H.I.G.H.W.A.Y.S Food Bank, a non-denominational food pantry which helps the underprivileged in Hudson County, NJ. In addition, we’re accepting donations of used and new CDs and DVDs (no copies, please) to send to the troops overseas.

For editors who cannot attend, or attendees who don't feel like staying behind a dealer table all weekend, we offer the services of our Orphan Zine table. For more information, contact Anne Collins Smith at gnomones@aol.com.

Gophers, panelists, workshop hosts and participants are needed and heartily welcomed!

Membership rates:
Full membership: $40 until 10/30/06; $50 at the door
One and two-day memberships will also be available at the door:
Friday: $20 Friday/Saturday: $45
Saturday: $25 Saturday/Sunday: $45
Sunday: $20

Supporting and apocryphal memberships are $10 at all times and include all convention publications.
