Laserdisc questions
Dec. 5th, 2004 09:52 pmHubby wants to get me a laserdisc player for Christmas, because I want one. (He got me a DVD burner for my birthday - he knows his Geek!Wife very well.)
Can anyone offer advice on a good brand to buy? Bad brands to avoid? I was planning to get one on eBay; does anyone know a better source?

Then I'm told that Rat Patrol is available on laserdisc from Japan. [drool drool] It's not out in any professional form in the US, partly, I suspect, because nobody knows who owns the rights (lo-o-o-o-ng story).
We had a laserdisc player when I was growing up, and by the time I left the nest a good amount of the discs were in pretty bad condition.
This has nothing to do with y'all playing Frisbee with them, does it? ;-)

WE ONLY DID THAT ONCE!
