I'm so relieved to be out from under that project! I want to WRITE! At least drabbles. :-)

You'll probably see my process for this on my side once I get the post out finally, but for now I'm kind of forced to ask if there'd be any chance of something mixing Mycroft Holmes and Ambrose (and/or Glitch or the lot?) together in some way. No need for slash unless you suddenly feel the urge that they're your new OTP, but Mycroft and Ambrose interacting perhaps. Because. And they/it needs to exist, big time. *crossover potential queen* Maybe Mycroft with Glitch would be funnier, actually, but whatever you come up with that has Mycroft in the mix.

My rambling Glitchian thought processes just arrived at Glitch mimicking Sherlock in investigations (unrelated to the above fic-ideas), but never mind for now. FIIIIC, in any case, if you're so inclined. ;)

Thought # thenext, Ambrose and Glitch reflecting Mycroft and Sherlock's personality sides. Ignore, just writing the thought down to have it somewhere.

Apparently I always want more Mycroft in things, but then I never went out of my way to look for Mycroft-centric fic, or Sherlock fic in general. If by rich you mean rambling and not-constrained-to-one-thing-only, I think we're on the same page. ;)

Any or all fic is welcome, and if it hadn't been for what to me was a great idea about the two, I would have refrained from requesting anything to not seem as if I only responded to something where I might greedily gain something for myself. I comment so rarely otherwise.

If someone else wants to write something more based on your thoughts or their own ideas, I'm all for it. As to me, I haven't been in fic-mode in ages so the hook to pull me back to writing needs to be strong. Once I finally get the chance to grab the first Sherlock DVD from the library and see the first episode I never caught, maybe I'll have more of a handle on Mycroft, too. The other thing I always wanted was to read more about Mycroft the Slytherin at the Ministry of Magic.

Then again, you do realize that there should be fic of Glitch as Sherlock and Cain as Watson if there already isn't, right? I can't remember any, would you know if there is?

Oh my goodness! Now, that's a different way of looking at it. From my perspective, I seem to be selfish when I ask for prompts, because they help me write. To be honest, I think the stories I've written for other people's prompts are often better than the ones I come up with by myself. Some sort of "hybrid vigor" going on, maybe?

So the fact that the person gets a ficlet written to their suggested specifications seems like fair payment to me, for what I've greedily gotten for myself! (Namely, ideas and opportunity and a guaranteed audience of at least one.)

If someone else wants to write something more based on your thoughts or their own ideas, I'm all for it.

Me too! I did post the fic to AO3, and added a note to that effect. I'd love to see what other people do with this idea.
